Did HCQ patients self- extubate? Did they come off of ecmo? The only reason why it got as much attention as it did right out of the gates is because it was already an approved drug.
Its ironic that an approved drug with a bad safety profile and at best questionable efficacy for CV19 has gotten so much attention over a drug with strong and compelling anecdotal results; so strong such that the FDA stopped allowing it for fear of losing their power.
