I think the best strategy is to keep your mouth shut once you are wealthy. Don't crow it from the rooftops and never reveal the details about your finances to anyone (except maybe your accountant).

Then you can do good things for people and the world, and people can guess at how much money you have, but they will never really know the details.

IMO this sensible approach is much less likely to make everyone envious and angry, than if you flaunt it and reveal exactly how much money you have to everyone.
