Re: SevenTenEleven #1509

It wouldn't surprise me in the least if big mining companies use similar  tactics of the big players back in the dot com era. Tons of spying, stealing, and underhanded tactics to take out the competition.  Just think about it.. If CWRN is sitting on a moderate sized strike of say 200 million tons, that's probably 25 billion in revenues, that Vale will lose out on, because of the shipping logistics. There are probably quite a few big iron companies that wouldn't mind if CWRN  failed. If you thought you could bribe an FBI guy and a couple SEC officials, to pull the rug out from underneath CWRN, for a few million dollars to save that kind of future revenue, and get away with it, you probably would. The other option would be to buy out CWRN for maybe a couple billion dollars, if they continue to prove huge reserves.

Vale would be crapping their pants if XXX Steel company decided to build a a steel plant on the Mexican side of the Baja/US border. If memory serves, there is a huge Kenworth or Pete truck manufacturing plant in the area that uses a lot of steel. Also Caterpillar and Chevrolet have huge manufacturing plants in Mexico. I think there could be a huge market for regional steel. They could bring in both coal from Wyoming and iron from CWRN by rail, and save a lot of back and forth ocean shipping costs..  I love thinking out of the box!! LOL!
