Better drugs will replace less efficacious drugs, ESPECIALLY when you have a civilization-threatening existential crisis.
There are by one estimate 2000 drugs being tried against COVID.
Brilacidin is one of the few to have already had a Phase 1 safety trial for an IV formulation.
Remdesivir may be life-saving now for some patients -- I sure hope so.
I hope even more that better drugs will be found. They will absolutely replace Remdesivir. I think that there is a high probability that Brilacidin will be one of those drugs.
