It is now evident that Tempus Applied Solutions Holdings, Inc have agreed with the SEC to accept being revoked as a publicly traded company and revert to being a private entity.
Clearly this is disappointing for those who have followed the company for some time - particularly ever since the Tristars were bought by wholly owned subsidiary Tristar Air LLC in 2018.
The stock provided excellent trading opportunities along the way - particularly so with the "on the bus" / "off the bus" changes of fortune that occurred with the anticipation of the 2019 USN sole source contract, the award of it, the cancellation of it and the prospects for the USN 2020 MAC and the later USAF MAC / TRANSCOM possibilities.
I will continue to monitor the contract and Tristar aircraft details and post here as appropriate as I have a career long interest in military aviation anyway.
There is no reason Tristar Air LLC cannot be awarded a share of either government contract just because it is currently a private company. Omega is a private company.
Others on iHub have a few ideas about possible actions ahead and it will be worth monitoring what they manage to find out about ownership of Tristar Air LLC and what plans Tempus Applied Solutions Holdings, Inc might have down the road - particularly if they go public again to facilitate acquisition of aircraft for shares rather than cash.
As I only had shares to the value of 8% of what I had already made on $TMPS 2018 > 2020, I will probably elect to take a tax loss which is worth 35% of that to me as a rebate on tax payable on 2020 profits.
If $TMPS is ever relisted again, I will certainly be a buyer.
