You never know, the Dead had a lot of musical influence while Doc was doing his thing through those hazy years. LOL
I think I met your friend in 1986, at the Buffalo, NY show....July 4. Yep, same story, quit his job in the 70s, went on the road to follow the Dead, and dropped out of society. Small world!!!!
