Watching these market makers play their little 100 share tape-painting games to try to create a mini-panic is amusing. They're not having a lot of luck.
MM and shorts seem to have a symbiotic relationship. MM seem always happy to get out of the way during short push downs, and they seem always happy to gouge inexperienced retail investors who submit Market Orders.
It's a jungle out there, but it's the natural order of things.
And in many ways, moving to NASDAQ does not really solve the problem.
