I’m a layman science guy, but not surprised IL-6 inhibitors aren’t doing much.
If my memory serves, IL-6 and IL-4 work in a balance. The ratio between them is important.
Rantes attracts too many of IL-6 inflammatory cytokine to infection location.
Stop Rantes from attracting IL-6 with a CCR5 inhibitor (Leronlimab) and IL-6 and 4 rebalance.
IL-6 inhibitors, even if they work, just treat a symptom, not the underlying (upstream) issue.
This is more of a lay-question for discussion, than a statement of fact.
