The only thing I recall NP saying on the subject of government funding is that he expects that the government will help if leronlimab proves successful.
I know for a fact that the government asks for too much if a Company were to ask for money to help develop their product. However, if a Company were to get to an FDA approved product without government help, then financial assistance boils down to selling product. My guess is that the BOD decided that they were close enough to the finish line to go it alone and reap 100% of the benefits.
Given this context, I think there is a slim chance that the chatter about the potential therapeutic the government is excited about may be leronlimab.
