I hear what you're saying, but to be a good investor, you really need to take the emotion out of this 100%.
OF COURSE this is going to be huge. Those are FACTS based on what we have been told thus far., based on science, not hopes and dreams. Your emotions are clouding your feelings and thus your decisions. It has little to do with it being a first time investor, it's just a fact that emotions and investing are like oil and water.
You're going to do great and be fine!
