We always keep at least one Corolla in the family. last one I purchased was a 2016 with 9000 miles on it. Bought it when my kids started driving. I let each kid drive the wheels off it until they could buy their own cars, which they did.
My wife is driving it now. A few scrapes from parking lot bumps, but other than that, real clean.
My middle son just purchased a 2019 Corolla Sport model. Cool little car. He got tired of fixing the 84 Vanagon bus he bought to look cool in. He's the life guard type. That bus is still in the shop.
If you keep oil and coolant in those Corollas, they will run a long time.
