I had the pleasure of meeting Pete Harris at a Blockchain Conference in Santa Clara. Pete heads the Austin Blockchain Collective, Lighthouse Partners, and his own blockchain conference, and serves as an advisor to companies. He says he helped write the last QDX HealthID PR.

With our QDX™ HealthID service in beta, we are building a unique ecosystem including test kit manufacturers, diagnostic labs and healthcare providers. QDX™ HealthID is open and so is not restricted for use with a specific test or lab. The ecosystem allows a physician to prescribe the test they believe is most suitable knowing that it is supported by the app and service.
The initial member of the ecosystem is @MicroGenDX, which has developed an easy-to-administer saliva/sputum test and associated diagnostic service. Together, they have received FDA emergency use authorization.
Pete Harris commented and confirmed the above statement:

Here's something I've been working on a bit ... the first time I've written "sputum" in the headline of a press release ... and while it's not mentioned in the release itself, there's some #blockchain in there - but absolutely not for storing any PHI. More test kit alliances TBA.
