I think it is a good thing NP parted ways with BP in a business sense. The fact he owns shares now is a massive conflict of interest...we need to think about optics from the outside. Think about this. What if the guy running the tests for gilead had 1MM dollars in shares...would we be crying foul?...absolutely.
BP will make way more owning shares than testing patients...how many tests would he need to run to have the equivalent of 250,000 shares?
I would rather have him on the Scientific Advisory Board than running tests... regardless if it legal I think it is unethical to do both.
This was hands down a smart decision regardless of costs. everything changes when there is a financial gain. if someone already said this, sorry just catching up.
I would bet we have had far more anxiety about this than BP, he is a happy guy. let the dust settle with COVID and I bet he will be an advisor of some sort. NP was glowing when speaking of him.
