The military’s #1 job is to be ready to defend the U.S. and that requires soldiers to be healthy. Information in regards to readiness, especially what percentage of soldiers are healthy enough to deploy, is sensitive information as the enemy could use it for planning purposes. Therefore, the number of COVID19 cases in the military needs to be kept within the confines of the military as to not give adversaries an opportunity to use that information against the U.S. There is no reason to discuss military cases beyond that besides possibly sharing how COVID19 affects a healthy population such as the military.
