I've posted the best article I've ever seen about vaccines on the COVID board. Although this is specifically about the Oxford group that is going to be the first to finish human clinical trials, in September, there is a wealth of information about vaccines. It's well worth reading, especially in light of the discussion of trying to gear up to make billions of doses.
I remain convinced that a TREATMENT is going to be the way the pandemic is brought under control, or at least becomes less fatal and with fewer long-term side effects for patients.
Also, they mention a scary possibility: some vaccines in the past have made the disease WORSE for the vaccinated person who then is exposed to the virus. I think that one of the dengue fever vaccines they tried to develop was in that category.
