Interesting document here has just turned up - looks like Omega or someone working on their behalf - soon after $TMPS were awarded the 2019 USN single source contract - submitted a Freedom of Information request to the UK Ministry of Defence on 14 May 2019 fishing for any evidence that the Tristars might not be airworthy.
They got short shrift from the UK MOD Defence Equipment and Support Secretariat who confirmed that (as I have stated in previous briefs):
"Airworthiness records were supplied with the aircraft as part of the sale and were available to prospective buyers" !

The Tristars were of course flown into Bruntingthorpe as fully serviceable and were the RAF's main front-line MRTT right up to the day the last one was retired.
