I think I remember Cytodyn saying that they have 50,000 vials on hand and stored in a freezer somewhere.
I don't think Pourhassan misspoke as to the first Samsung delivery being 30,000 vials. But of course he could have misspoken.
30,000 vials is only enough for 7500 covid patients.
But if they have 50,000 vials on the shelf, then they could treat 20,000 covid patients between the first Samsung delivery and the already-on-the-shelf supply.
Comparativity testing between the Samsung and what the commercial supply they have on-hand is important, and Pourhassan said some results on that would be available in two weeks.
