Re: ClosetInvestor #42177
Fair enough. I can only share what I have discovered on my own by making inquiries on this matter and many others. If you have doubts, you could even inquire with the NEJM yourself as to their policies. I also think CDiddy has great avenues to get accurate info and will support anything he finds solid.
To be clear - you may have misunderstood my OP - the NEJM (IMO) shut down the entire process when a CYDY officer said, in a public forum, that the "NEJM would be publishing BP's paper next week (paraphrased)." It was not a rejection of the content. It was NP's public rant which disqualified the process based on NEJM guidelines. AGAIN - this had nothing to do with the validity of BP's research. It has to do with NP violating rules of submission. An unforced error, if you will.
In the future, do your own digging and find things out for yourself. You shouldn't trust me or any other anonymous screen name on a message board!

I find your claim hard to believe, especially given your posting history and alias. I’m unsure how NP mentioning data before submission has anything to do with nullifying the peer review or publication process. Many COVID related articles in the NEJM were discussed before NEJM published them. Additionally, the ENTIRE article is published online, for the world to review and peers to review, prior to submission to a journal. So again, NP mentioning the findings on a paid interview doesn’t seem to meet criteria for rejection.
I’ll await feedback from CDiddy or another legitimate investor to confirm whether your statement is true as anything is possible at this point.
