Yes, but that was leading into a perceived Appeals Court slam dunk. It doesn't really relate to what's been happening since. Once the trial ended and the fantasy of immediately selling the company disappeared, we were forced to return to earth.
Mark Kay told me during the shareholders' meeting cocktail hour about 4 years ago that he expected to sell the company within a year. He didn't provide any context, just that he expected to sell. Since then, he's had to come up with a Plan B and, unfortunately, seems to have gone all in on the channel partners model, which had, by that point, several years of mediocre returns. Our in-house marketing team seems to be busy doing other things.
But then there was ACS, DSS, HSN, then BlockSafe, Gallagher, then hotels, then Zoom. Unfortunately, none of those ideas have produced much money, so here we are.
