As I understand and until today I see pretty much all companies do the same. They take a wild guess on the indications and do a an animal study. The take a wild guess on what the primary end point it percentage wise and try to hit it. That's the way FDA approves as well.
After Patternson I now understand primary endpoint is the most meaningless standard out there. Its just there to follow the crowd. He analyses and understands why and how something is working.. He has so many parents and products on measuring results..
He made me think until today no drug company really understood what they were doing it was and is always some statistics based on overall health of the patients, not details in their blood stream..
So, we are all good... Blinded based on FDA standards.
