mild/moderate placebo trial completion delayed until July 8 in order to increase patient count from 75 to 89. I believe the p-value decreases as approximately the square of the number of patients given the same proportions of results.
The reason for this delay could be because Samsung delivers late July rather than middle July.
Could also be because the distributor, whoever it is, doesn't come online until at least Monday, which is only two days before the close of the mild/moderate data collection on Wednesday.
Or could be that CYDY wants more patients in trials in order to increase likelihood of approval.
Probably none of this matters, as there are at least a few deaths in the severe/critical trial. If they are all in placebo, CYDY is golden. If not, more delays unless the severe/crit secondary endpoints and the mild/moderate statistical results can provide support.
