Well, I can now cross of my life experience list "what does it feel like to lose a million dollars in a half hour"!
On a serious note, I think this will all be fine. After registering the shock, keep in mind that if your goal is to accumulate shares cheaply and there are not enough on the ask, it might actually be more efficient to go MASSIVELY short, briefly, to make the price cheaper, create fear, and wipe out stop losses.
In other words, I think it's plausible that the same people who have been accumulating are responsible for this as well.
