This sounds like a catch 22 and or a potential conflict of interest to me. If Oasis is setting the market and financing based on the market price... ?
An underwriter is responsible for purchasing any shares not sold on the roadshow and then selling those shares directly to the market at a predetermined price.
BTW and obviously with the IPO Joe will be raising money directly from the market. There are about 82m shares for IPO of Gnbt want to keep minimum 70% control. This would raise $492m if sold at $6. HWo knows maybe they release only 10 million initially? In any case why do they need Oasis financing if they are going to be raising $60m?
Very confusing. Thoughts?
