I haven't seen any discussion of wholesale vs. retail. The manufacturer sells wholesale to the lab, hospital, govt, or POC, and then they mark it up to a retail price to the consumer ... then insurance negotiation brings it way back down.
NNLX would get a royalty based on the wholesale price established by the manufacturer. Since we don't know how complex the manufacturing process is, there is not much to go on for estimating a wholesale price.
Volume will be the key as percentage means nothing if the manufacturer doesn't follow through with sales.
Too many companies or products have been purchased or licensed just to take them off the market ... that was in the news earlier regarding ventilators; Covidien was the culprit as per NY Times article below:
