As far as IV treatment, it's the fastest way to get the medication everywhere it needs to go. It's not a big deal to do that -- IV's are done in urgent care clinics all the time.

We know that Brilacidin has a low systemic absorption through the intestinal tract because of the Ulcerative Proctitis clinical trial.

We know that IV Brilacidin is safe and effective from the ABSSSI clinical trial.

Compare this: someone in a hospital bed, hooked up to oxygen, maybe needing a ventilator, and hooked up to IVs with medications to control horrible symptoms -- OR --

Someone goes to an Urgent Care clinic when they feel symptoms. If they test positive, they hook them up to an IV and in an hour they can probably go home. We don't know if maybe they'll have to come back for a second treatment the next day or a few days later if they don't start feeling better quickly -- but isn't that preferable to being in a hospital?
