Does anyone know how Leronlimab was thought to be tried on COVID ... I thought I heard NP say that it was Dr. Patterson's idea?

I can imagine Dr. P analyzing COVID patient blood samples, seeing super elevated CCL5/RANTES, and then realizing he also was working with a drug targeting CCR5 for HIV and cancer. That would be quite the light bulb moment, if that's how it happened.
