If my goal was to restart the economy and get the country back to normal I would run a small proof of concept phase II (lung or kidney), maybe 30 patients or so and then when complete issue an EUA.
BARDA can be used for this study and future phase II/III studies as well as manufacturing and distribution.
I post this because there is an unprecedented sense of urgency and the laws already allow this to happen and the money is available.
*** The government allows for profit. Any Brilacidin used can be marked up and I expect Leo to make it reasonable considering the circumstances. In any case, Brilacidin will have sales this year.
