The provisional patent application announced today helps protect a new invention from being copied for 12 months or until a formal patent application is filed. Simple, effective.
If that's why you're doing it.
This evening I was sitting on the commuter bus and wondered why KB changed the GenViro! and moved it away from the product described in the white papers. He got rid of the lysing, and substituted his TBG technology, and although doing this is not that much time consuming, it is still a lot of work.
And then it occurred to me. KB decided to make GenViro! 100% DECN Intellectual Property, and that patent announcement is an effing neon sign. I can think of 400 or 500 million reasons why he filed the provisional patent.
Look at all the wonderful things Will is going to inherit when he becomes CEO.
