You are correct but missing the point.
A $1.1m healthcare bill is unconscionable and underscores the problem with the US healthcare system. (One could also argue that Medicaid etc. are insurance coverage programs but obviously not private, and the ACA is private insurance just subsidized)
Regardless, this debate can be had on the other board. I already asked mods to relocate my original post. Don't want to get into it here, just wanted to share the story about that poor guy in Seattle... $1.1m. Wtf?
