U.S. stock futures flat as Europe stocks sink
Consumer prices, weekly jobless claims due at 8:30 a.m. Eastern
MADRID (MarketWatch) — The U.S. stock market mostly stuck to the flat line on Thursday as tension increased in Europe, where stocks tumbled and borrowing costs shot above 7% for Spain after the country suffered two separate ratings downgrades the prior day.
