I’m sorry to hear you have type-1. I know it’s much more challenging than type 2. I have 2 type 2s at home. I can tell you from empirical observation the relationship between high glucose and Alzheimer’s. My mom stopped taking her meds, and she retroceded into herself and was incoherent. When I started giving her her meds, she came back. Still, when she goes into a sugar frenzy, she loses ground.
I found some articles about how IL-1b attacks insulin producing cells in type-1. Another article, another disease, points out how IL-1b expresses Rantes. I’m thinking Rantes works as the homing device of cytokines to the pancreas. If true, Leron would definitely help. It’s amazing how Rantes is present in so many things, isn’t it?
