I lived in Rapid City for 2 and 1/2 years in the mid 70's. Absolutist loved the Black Hills. Mt Rushmore- no big deal.
Sylvan Lake, my favorite, made with a dam high up in the hills near the "Needles" by Teddy Roosevelt.
