Ohm, thank you for the interesting links on T1d, I truly appreciate it! Especially considering the tremendous amounts of potential profits involved in finding any help for this life altering and almost epidemic level disease. Sadly, the 2002, 2008, and 2000 publication dates of those articles reminds me of an old aphorism; There's many a slip 'twixt the cup and the lip. And killing and curing mice has paved the road to hell with the dead bodies of good intentions.

Oddly there is also an interesting connection between covid and T1d in a 100 year old BCG vaccine (tuberculosis). Apparently there are various strains of the BCG vaccine and the T1d trial is only using one of them, just like in covid research. The T1d trial is stuck in low gear with no or very low funding, I am on the list if it ever gets ramped up in an open label P2 uncontrolled group.
