yep, enrollment is key. I thought the announcement a couple weeks ago about more hospitals joining the game was a good sign for enrollment, but NP's comments last week seemed to say "no progress."
Short of good enrollment numbers, he could have news that would help enrollment...gov't help, coherent update on eIND's, EUA.
Conventional wisdom is that EUA tends to hurt enrollment because "why go through the hassle and chance of getting a placebo when I can get the real deal?"; but in the age of covid-19, general public awareness [MDs included] makes such a huge difference, and the news for EUA might actually help with enrollment. (Smaller probability of enrollment for a given patient/doctor who hears about the trials) × (larger number of patients/doctors who hear about it) = better enrollment...hopefully.
