DNA based testing using a reagent is up until now is the only known way to test for viruses that are not blood born. Any new method of testing for a highly contagious virus would be scrutinized. Add in a 15 second diagnosis and what would you expect from the FDA.

There are other markets outside the US, why aren't other countries embracing this right now?
