I visited Pearl Harbor on our visit to the Islands. They were refitting the USS Missouri and while we were on tour of the ship, they were installing the new teak decking. Where the 19 year old Japanese pilot crashed into the deck, the old wood was stacked up. I removed a splinter of that deck and have it today.
The WW2 surrender of the Japanese to the Allied Powers took place on that deck!!!!
