As far as the IV for the initial treatment, I understood this was only for those hospitalized patients who are likely on an IV already, so eases the procedure while gaining the efficacy as you noted.
I think this is smart as NP/BP explained this will help receptor occupancy saturation faster thus likely improving patients responses even more when time is extremely critical and valuable.....it may make the difference between life and death in some patients, which I understand is the primary reason NP/BP are pursuing initial IV dosing.
