We already knew that any COVID therapy would be via IV since we already knew that Brilacidin is NOT absorbed systemically when administered via enema in the ulcerative colitis trial. That makes it unlikely that it would be absorbed systemically when taken in pill form -- and how exactly would anyone take it in pill form anyway if they're on a ventilator (for example)?
IV drugs are going to be the fastest way to circulate drugs throughout the body for severely ill patients, and doctors are saying that people can go from sitting up and chatting to crashing and needing a ventilator within a matter of hours. When minutes count, IV drug administration is the fastest way to get medicine to where it's needed.
