Lets keep an eye on this time next month. By June 15th the resurgence of the COVID19 will spike in many areas of the great plains and especially in such facilities as the colleges and high schools ,assisted living, prison and industries like meat packing and share cropping. This is not a reaction to the lock down alone but the way the virus has been spreading plus the reopening. It is only logical that cases will rise.
Then, the question will be, do we just suck it up and keep moving forward and accept the death tolls or do we reverse engines and try to put the toothpaste back in the tube.
The reality of the situation is that this country is being forced to open, early or not, because of November. This may prove a death sentence for more than just Americans. THere can not be a false step here. If you are opening, then open and get on with the fall out. But be aware that 80% of Americans are not comfortable with this reopening and show no confidence in it which will equate to further small business bankruptcies because they ran out of cash flow too early.
I personally think that we will falter in this reopening because we lack data to support where we are in the Pandemic. WE are still doubling and expanding in cases but we are not seeing it because its mainly in the poor communities that can not social distance and protect themselves.
Too bad we could not figure out how to test anymore than 3% of the population.
