There can be an interim analysis after a certain number of patients. I don't know if they are doing that or not, the earliest they would have been able to was this monday.

Other than that, it's completely blind to everyone involved so there's no way to do an analysis without unblinding the patients which would wreck the experiment. This is also why whoever says he dumped shares because the trials were going poorly is talking out their #$@ because there's simply no actual way he could have known any results at that point. The only reason the gild stuff leaking is because there was no control.
