Honestly, I believe that Dr. Fauci was trying to compare finding therapeutics to CV as similar to when they tried to find therapeutics for HIV back in the day. I don't think he was referring to leronlimab specifically in the video. Dr. Fauci seems to be constantly comparing CV to HIV. I really don't see the similarity, other than they are both viral and stoked a lot of public fear fear when they were first identified. What is really odd is that he expects a vaccine for CV within the next year, but with HIV, we still don't have one after 38 years--again making it a bad analogy to me. Also CV is immune overreaction mostly (and some suppression) and HIV is exclusively immune suppression.

Just IMO, no expert here.
