CTC (circulating tumor cells) are what cause metastasis. Little pieces of tumor cells move around the body and some latch on in a new location and begin a new tumor.

It appears that Leronlimab, for some types of cancer, can reduce the CTC count to at or near zero.

This is what has me so excited, because not only can this save many lives, it can also improve the treatment process for patients.

This is my owns speculation but I envision a world where as soon as someone is diagnosed with a cancer that we can treat, they immediately go on Leronlimab and have the confidence of knowing the tumors wont grow, and wont metastasize.

Then, doctors can watch to see if Leronlimab shrinks the tumors, or if additional treatment is necessary. (as opposed to just ravaging people with chemo)
