The difference is that you are repeating yourself constantly. We dont have any issues with discussion, but when one poster takes up half the board, with the same message over and over again it violates the SPAM rule.

Discussing is not the same as repeating yourself over and over again. There is no benefit to the discussion for one person to repeat themselves all day long.
