The airline article says that new sanitizing methods being instituted include UV light to kill viruses. QMC once mentioned in a PR they can make blue QD. Blue is close to UV.
Edit: QMC also said a few years ago they have internally created and tested for thousands of hours their own QDLED without meaningful degredation.
IF QMC can make UV QD and
IF QMC can then make UV QDLED,
it would be the brightest yet smallest
UV sourced light, potentially the most effective,
and IMO very price competitive.
