sarilumab, tocilizumab and all the other IL6 receptor antagonists have horrible safety issues, not the least of which is severely crippling the immune system. Friend of mine is now has a secondary infection and sarilumab did nothing for his ARDS. The trial they steered his wife into choosing for that was abruptly ended (can't imagine they'd want word of so many patients getting worse from the treatment to make headlines). They're supposed to be "anti-arthritis" agents, but a few months after she was proscribed them, my grandmother had severe liver issues and was shortly diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and died. I'd never seen the woman ill; her only dysfunction was severe arthritis.

They aren't the answer.
