In recent weeks, video gamers – particularly those who enjoy playing shooters — have been lambasted in the press, with journalists and even organizations like the National Rifle Association suggesting a link between digital violence and the real world.

Despite the bad press, gamers appear to have a new and unexpected convert in their ranks. A video recently posted to YouTube shows an elderly man playing (and apparently greatly enjoying) playing video games with his grandson.
