Please explain why he then sold the entire stock position. He surely didn't do it for tax reasons. He would only have to sell a fraction of the 4mil shares.

Again, if he took the proceeds of his stock sale and reinvested it into the company, then I'd be of the same opinion you are. If that's the case, please show me the proof.
