If you go back a year or so on the Univec board, I posted quite a bit regarding Doctor Mitchell and his pursuit of hemp fiber products --- particularly building products. Mitchell showed me pictures of hemp lumber produced for him, a type of fiber board made from hemp, and hempcrete. At that time, Mitchell was working with a building contractor in California that built a number of test homes constructed with hemp. Doctor Mitchell is also working with the top structural engineer in the United States at a lab up in Maine on construction materials. After CBD became the rage, Doctor Mitchell changed his emphasis toward health-related products. Mitchell told me at that time that he could not afford to do both. However, Mitchell made it very clear to me that the construction and paper industries were both huge opportunities for hemp, and pursuing these opportunities would allow him to change our world --- for the better in his opinion. A world more sustainable, and much more healthy.
