As I recall, the study for N-Assay was for bacteria and determined identity very rapidly. What took overnight was to determine antibiotic sensitivity. That is much different than the two to five days or more it normally takes.
I seem to have read the time for their detection and ID for the Ebola virus was less than 3.5 hours. One doesn’t need information on antibiotic sensitivity for a virus.
