This is why it is so important to have treatments NOW. It may not be possible to find a vaccine against COVID-19. There are already 30 mutations of the virus identified. They've never been able to make a vaccine for the common cold, which is similar structurally to this virus (but, obviously, far less virulent).

This is why it's so stupid for the government not to jump in and fund EVERY drug that could possibly offer any hope.
Brilacidin may be what saves us (or it may not) -- but we need to have it and every other possible drug being tried NOW.
The one hope I see for a vaccine is the one the UK is trying to develop at Oxford, which is going to use a new and completely different target to challenge the immune system and hopefully develop antibodies to the virus.
